  • Have a high school diploma (or GED)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
The Marietta Police Department is an equal opportunity employer and utilizes a civil service test for potential candidates. You must be able to pass the following:

  • A physical fitness test (based on OPOTA standards)
  • A civil service written exam (passing grade of 70%)
  • A background check
  • A Polygraph
  • A drug screen
  • A mental health assessment
  • A physical health assessment
The civil service list of candidates is valid for 2 years. Extra hiring points are given for military service, OPOTA certification, and college degrees. Clink this link for an application!
