Parking Ticket Process

  • You Have 30 days from date of issue to make Payment.
  • After that 30 days a letter will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle and an additional penalty will be assessed.
  • After 60 days a Default Judgment Letter will be sent to the registered owner, an additional penalty will be assessed, and you will have 10 days to make payment and stop Civil Default Judgment.
  • After 10 days of nonpayment you will be in Default Judgment, an additional penalty will be assessed.
  • After 3 Civil Default Judgments (or 1 Handicap Civil Default Judgment) your vehicle may be subject to immobilization and/or towing and impoundment.

You have the right to request a reduction or waiver of fines.

You may, in writing, request the fine be reduced or waived. An explanation and any evidence regarding your request can be submitted in person or by mail to:

You may also request an in person hearing with a Hearing Officer. This request must be made in writing and sent to the Parking Violations Bureau. You will then be sent a date and time via mail.

NOTE: A Hearing may result in increased costs. Failure to appear at a requested scheduled hearing may result in a Civil Default Judgment against you. You must be prepared to pay ALL outstanding parking tickets if you are found guilty.
