            The Marietta City Council welcomes you here and thanks you for your time and concerns. Should you wish to address the council, this is the time set on the agenda for you to do so. When you are recognized, please step to the podium and state your name and address prior to addressing council. Your comments will be limited to three minutes. The council may not respond to your comments this evening, rather they may take your comments and suggestions under advisement and your questions may be directed to the appropriate staff person for follow-up. In the event of a violation of decorum, the council president will give one warning. Should a violation continue, the council president may revoke the speaking privileges, and the speaker may be subject to removal from the council chambers by the sergeant-at-arms.

  • Ordinance No. 109 (22-23) An Ordinance to amend Ordinance 280 (20-21), passed November 4, 2021, and to authorize and direct the Mayor; the Director of Public Safety and Service; and the Auditor of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to enter into an Amended Master Equity Lease Agreement and an Amended Five (5) Year Capital Plan with Enterprise Fleet Management Trust, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Ordinance No. 111 (22-23) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to temporarily suspend the operation of DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) during the Marietta Sternwheel Festival, from 8:00 p.m. until midnight on Friday September 9, 2022; and from 8:00 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, September 10, 2022, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Ordinance No. 114 (22-23) An Ordinance to approve the authorization of expenditures from the American Rescue Plan Act Funds for the purchase of one (1) limited edition, Silent Battle Bronze Sculpture that is to be created by sculptor, Anita Miller, and installed at Gold Star Park. This project known as the Gold Star Park Silent Battle Bronze Sculpture Project shall be at a cost not to exceed $55,290.00 and declaring and EMERGENCY. (FARNSWORTH)
  • Resolution No. 34 (22-23) A Resolution to accept the recommendation of the Tax Incentive Review Council and to approve the continuation of the Community Reinvestment Area Agreement entered into between the City of Marietta, Ohio and Perry Associates Holdings, LLC, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Resolution No. 35 (22-23) A Resolution to accept the recommendation of the Tax Incentive Review Council and to approve the continuation of the Community Reinvestment Area Agreement entered into between the City of Marietta, Ohio and Historic Hippodrome/Colony Theater, and declaring an EMERGENCY. Legislation First Reading

  • Ordinance No. (22-23) An Ordinance to amend Section 509.08(b) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Marietta, Ohio, Titled: DISTURBING THE PEACE, so as to extend the noise curfew from 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight), ONLY in the C-4 Downtown Business District; and ONLY on Friday and Saturday nights, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Ordinance No. 117 (22-23) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to advertise for bids and enter into a contract or contracts for the disposal of sanitary sewage sludge from the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant into a sanitary landfill, and declaring an EMERGENCY. (ALLPHIN)
  • Ordinance No. 118 (22-23) An Ordinance by Director of Public Safety and Service of the City of Marietta, Ohio, authorizing the Council of the City of Marietta, Ohio, referred to as the Local Public Agency (LPA) and/or Legislative Authority, to adopt the following Final Ordinance, for the Phase 2 Construction/Installation and Upgrading of Existing Infrastructure for an Interconnected Traffic Signal System at 31 Locations and the Installation of a City-Wide Fiber Optic System for the City of Marietta, Ohio, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Ordinance No. 119 (22-23) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into a contract modification to the present contract between the City of Marietta, Ohio and the Ohio Department of Transportation for the WAS-Third Street (S.R. 7) between Washington Street and Greene Street, Pavement Project (PID #84594) in the City of Marietta, Ohio, for a total cost not to exceed $6,083.80, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Resolution No. 38 (22-22) A Resolution to authorize applicant, James R. Miracle, doing business as Miracle Rentals LLC, who is the owner of a building situated at 106 Sterling Drive, Marietta, Ohio, which premises are located outside the corporation limits of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to connect to the Marietta City water line system, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Resolution No. 39 (22-23) A Resolution to authorize and direct the Mayor to apply, on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to the Ohio Public Works Commission for total funding of $400,000.00 in the form of a $300,000.00 grant and a $100,000.00 loan for the 2023 Citywide Asphalt Resurfacing & ADA Curb Ramp Project; and to obligate the necessary matching funds from the City if funding is approved, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Resolution No. 40 (22-23) A Resolution to authorize and direct the Mayor to apply on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, for funds for Stream Stabilization, for the City of Marietta, Ohio, and to obligate any necessary matching funds, if required from the City, if the grant is approved, and declaring an EMERGENCY.   • Resolution No. 41 (22-23) A Resolution to authorize and direct the Mayor to apply on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for funds for the Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) Discretionary Grant for the City of Marietta, Ohio, and to obligate any necessary matching funds, if required from the City, if the grant is approved, and declaring an EMERGENCY.
