CLEANING SPECIFICATIONS FOR 2022

The City of Marietta

  1. The contractor will supply all labor and supervision.
  2. The contractor will perform cleaning services five (5) times per week.
  3. The areas to be cleaned are at 301 and 304 Putnam Street, & 3rd & Butler Street, more commonly known as the Municipal Court Building.
  4. The contractor will be paid monthly.
  5. The City, hereafter, referred to as Public Facilities will provide all cleaning supplies required to perform necessary cleaning including but not limited to toilet tissue, hand towels, soap, and can liners.
  6. The contractor will clean office interiors during normal business hours. All other cleaning may be done after hours.

Scope of work for 301 & 304 Putnam Street:

  • Entryways: Sweep, clean glass and mop daily. Dusting of surfaces and ledges will be performed bi-weekly at a minimum.
  • Hallways: Sweep, vacuum and mop daily. Dusting of surfaces and ledges will be performed bi-weekly at a minimum.
  • Restrooms: Clean, sanitize, disinfect, dust, sweep and mop daily.
  • Conference Rooms/Offices: Sweep and mop weekly. Dusting of surfaces and ledges will be performed bi-weekly at a minimum. Interior office windows will be cleaned monthly. Exterior of office windows will be cleaned quarterly.
  • Stairwells: Sweep daily and mop weekly.
  • Public surfaces: Sanitize door handles and drinking fountains daily.
  • Elevators: Sweep, clean, and sanitize elevator interior and exterior waiting areas daily.
  • Trash: Will be collected from public areas and placed in dumpsters.
  • Special Note: Basement of 304 Corridor: Sweep and mop weekly.

Scope of work for Municipal Court:

  • Entryway/Hallways: Sweep/Vacuum carpets daily. Mop floors weekly or more often if necessary. Dust hallway horizontal surfaces weekly.
  • Entryway/Hallway Windows: Clean windows weekly.
  • Elevators: Sweep, clean, and sanitize inside and out daily.
  • Restrooms: Sweep/mop restroom floors in waiting area, probation office and jury room. (4 total) Clean mirrors, fixtures, empty trash receptacles and replace with new liner. Restock toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap as needed.
  • Public surfaces: Sanitize drinking fountains and door handles daily.
  • Court Rooms: Sweep and/or vacuum all carpeted areas in both court rooms and jury room daily. (When not occupied) Dust horizontal surfaces in the court room, waiting area, and area in front of court rooms weekly.
  • Offices: Sweep and mop weekly. Dusting of horizontal surfaces will be performed bi-weekly at a minimum. Interior office windows will be cleaned monthly. Dust horizontal surfaces in the court room, waiting area, and court room halls weekly.
  • Trash: Place all trash in outside container provided to include small can trash liners that employees place in hallway.

 

The City reserves the right to implement a monthly performance based evaluation in the event the contractor does not provide the quality service to meet the City’s expectation. The City will provide a notice within 24 hours of said evaluation and allow the contractor ten (10) working days to correct the deficiency. If quality issues are not addressed and maintained, based upon the evaluation, the City will initiate a 5% deduct from monthly invoice based upon the evaluation that pertains to each of the areas being cleaned.

This two (2) year contract is to become effective immediately and expires December 31, 2023 unless other arrangements are generated.
