Marietta Fire Department
The Marietta Fire Department proudly protects 13,551 people living in an area of 11 square miles. We are staffed by 36 Firefighter/EMT/Hazardous Materials Technicians. Many of our personnel have achieved higher levels of certification through additional training.
There are three shifts of 10 personnel which respond to over 3,000 calls for help each year. We provide many services to the people of our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We maintain an ISO rating of 4.
Some of the services we provide are: fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous material response, fire inspection and permit issuance, code enforcement, fire prevention education, confined space entry, fire investigation, river fire and rescue operations.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Marietta Fire Department is to provide a wide range of programs designed to educate, and protect the lives and property of both the citizens and visitors of Marietta, Ohio, from the adverse effects of fire, sudden medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by either human beings or nature.
VISION STATEMENT
It is the vision of the Marietta Fire Department to seek continual improvement for the services we provide to our community, through training, staffing, up-to-date equipment, and continuous quality improvement evaluations of all aspects of our mission.
