Legislation for introduction at the Marietta City Council meeting scheduled to be held on October 3, 2019.


1. Ordinance No. 256 (18-19) An Ordinance to find and determine that the following is personal property not needed for any municipal purpose and to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to advertise for bids and enter into a contract or contracts for the sale thereof, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 721.15: a 2000 John Deere 4300 Tractor/Backhoe, #V4300543666Y and a 2003 Ford F550 White Bucket Truck, Vin. #1FDAF56P33ED85481, and declaring an EMERGENCY.

2. Ordinance No. 257 (18-19) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into a contract with Woolpert, Inc., of Columbus, Ohio for consulting and planning services for the Start Westward Project.

3. Ordinance No. 258 (18-19) An Ordinance to amend Section One of Ordinance No. 140 (88-89) passed December 1, 1988 in order to modify the source of the monies for the payment of the salary for the Development Department Administrator of the City of Marietta, Ohio, and declaring an EMERGENCY.

4. Ordinance No. 259 (18-19) An Ordinance to appropriate and transfer funds.


1. Resolution No. 85 (18-19) A Resolution wherein the City of Marietta, Ohio’s Legislative Authority/Local Public Agency or “LPA”, agrees to cooperate with the Director of Transportation for the Resurfacing Project for Third Street (S.R. 7) between Washington Street and Greene Street, including pavement repair, curb ramps, and pavement markings, lying within the City of Marietta. and declaring an EMERGENCY.

2. Resolution No. 86 (18-19) A Resolution to authorize and direct the Development Director of the City of Marietta, Ohio to enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, with the Board of Commissioners of Washington County, Ohio, to assist in supporting accessible public transit services sponsored by them, namely the Transit Program in Community Development Block Grant year 2020, and declaring an EMERGENCY.

3. Resolution No. 87 (18-19) A Resolution of the Marietta City Council, approving the Civil Ward Roundtable’s application to erect a historical marker within the City right-of-way limits, located at 131 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, Ohio.
