NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF MARIETTA CITY COUNCIL

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 731.46 and Section 121.02 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Marietta, Ohio, the undersigned, being three members of the Marietta City Council, hereby call a special meeting of the Marietta City Council to be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 6:00 o’clock PM in the Marietta City Council Chambers at Armory, Room 10, 241 Front Street, Marietta, Ohio, for the purpose of considering the following matters:

1. Ordinance No. 2 (18-19) An Ordinance to amend Section 161.04 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Marietta, Ohio, relating to health insurance benefits for non-union employees and officials of the City of Marietta, Ohio; to provide that the effective date shall be retroactive to January 1, 2018 and prospective forward; and declaring an EMERGENCY.
2. Ordinance No. 3 (18-19) An Ordinance to find and determine that the City of Marietta has a lack of funds sufficient to maintain current levels of operations through December 31, 2018, and to further find and determine that reductions in non-personnel operational expenses alone will be insufficient to address that lack of funds; to cancel all scheduled increases in any and all forms of monetary compensation paid to all non-union employees of the City of Marietta; to rescind all scheduled increases in any and all forms of monetary compensation paid to all non-union employees of the City of Marietta were scheduled to take effect since December 31, 2017; but have not yet been paid; declaring an EMERGENCY.
