We need YOUR ideas! Public meetings are Monday, July 15th and Monday, July 22nd, both at 5:30pm in Room 10 at the Armory.

It's that time of year again when the city is looking for citizens to provide their ideas for how CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funding should be utilized in 2020. Recently this has been about $400,000. Examples of 2019 projects that funding went to:
- Correcting a crosswalk on the West Side, unlovingly referred to as Lake Franklin
- Security lighting on the bike path
- Inflatables for the aquatic center
- Supporting the CABL bus lines
The activities must meet at least one of HUD’s three national objectives:
1. Low to Moderate Income Benefit
2. Slum and Blight Removal
3. Urgent Need
Marietta has five geographic areas eligible for CDBG funding:
1. Central Business District
2. Harmar
3. Norwood
4. Indian Acres
5. City Wide (Accessibility, Preservation)
What things do you, your family, and friends want to see changed? Join us at either meeting and share your ideas!
