The City of Marietta has retained TEC Engineering to conduct a Traffic Impact Study and evaluate the

effects of a potential closure of Butler Street from 4th Street to 7th Street to accommodate proposed
improvements by Marietta College. The purpose of this Traffic Study is to assess the impacts of this
potential closure on the surrounding streets and intersections.

Two Public Meetings have been scheduled for Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. and at 7:00
P.M. Both meetings will be held at The Gathering Place located at 127 North Seventh Street (directly
across the street from Tim Horton's). TEC Engineering will give a brief presentation on the purpose and
need for the Traffic Impact Study, the anticipated schedule & timeline for this work, and general
discussion of potential impacts to vehicular traffic, pedestrian traffic and safety, re-routing of traffic, etc.
